Let it Snowe (and Collins)
This article from one of The Washington Post’s blogs notes that both of Maine’s Republican Senators, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, have signed onto a friend of the court brief in support of a lawsuit challenging the individual mandate of the health care law.
What’s interesting here is the tactic. If and how the Senate itself will address health care reform in 2011 is yet to be seen. But, Senators are attempting to use the court system to repeal a bad section of health care reform. In fact, 30 Senate Republicans in total have signed on in support of this lawsuit. Definitely a good sign for the “repeal and replace” movement.
